Keep in mind that an API is a software-to-software interface, not a user interface. With Upclick's API's, applications talk to each other without any user knowledge or intervention. Every process is automated. API’s make it possible to use coupons, discounts, subscription management, re-billing, create charges, generate invoices, verify credit cards and cancel anything.

Most importantly, Upclick provides you with a seamless integration and users never notice when software functions are handed from one application to another. For example, when a user enters his credit card information to buy an online product or service from you, we use API's to send the credit card information to a remote application in order to verify whether or not the information is correct. Once the payment is confirmed, the remote application sends a response back to the website saying that it is okay to process the payment.

Tracking - Default 30-Day Cookies

Upclick uses cookies to ensure the surfer a comfortable and smooth navigation while enabling you to track his behaviour. A cookie is a small text file created and stored in the surfer's web browser when he is loading website pages. Every time he loads a website, the browser sends the cookie back to the server to notify the website of his previous activity. Cookies were designed to be a reliable mechanism, allowing websites to remember information and record your browsing activity. It ensures automatic logins and authentication when the surfer wants to access a website again, and stores ordering information needed for online shopping carts to remember all the items put in the cart. So basically, computer cookies can be very useful and harmless.

Upclick guarantees a default 30 day cookies which means you can track the user during the entire checkout process and if he comes back within 30 days, he will be recognized. It allows Upclick to pay commissions to affiliates for example. Using this tracking, your chances of earning a commission from affiliate offers in the Upclick affiliate network (marketplace) are increased.

It also means that you can learn about surfers’ online habits, which makes it possible for you to build up consumer profiles and show them specific ads matching their interests. For example, you can re-target cart abandon customers to increase your conversion rate.

Besides the standard Upclick Reporting, where merchants can log in to see all the transactions by type, the platform can also automatically post information to merchants, allowing them to create their own transaction repository, feed an eventual third party system for tracking, digital rights management or any other needs.

At Upclick, we provide you with all the required tools to unlock the true power of optimization: from basic visitors tracking that allows you to pass your own custom (dynamic) parameters through the conversion funnel, to fully integrated multi-variant testing abilities.

Google Analytics Support & Other Third-Party Tracking

Upclick offers merchants the possibility to use 3rd party tracking systems to track their conversions.

All Upclick’s carts are natively integrated with Google Analytics. All you have to do is to provide your Analytics ID (UA-XXXXXX-YY) when generating a checkout link. We will pre-fill it for you in the cart and carry it to the transaction confirmation page.

We also pre-integrated for you several other 3rd party tracking platforms, like WebTrends Analytics, allowing you to populate specific data on the sale confirmation page.

For your pay-per-click driven traffic, we have the ability to automatically display the conversion IDs for the major SEM platforms: Google AdWords, Bing Ads and Yahoo Advertising.

Upclick also streamlines your pixel tracking integration by inserting it dynamically into thank-you pages, and providing you a set of available predefined Tags that can be used in the pixel URL.

Notifications & Alerts

Besides the standard reporting where merchants can log in to see all the transactions related data, the Upclick platform also has multiple automated ways of sending you important information related to your account, your customers’ transactions, and custom reports, through http post, direct email, and API integration.

Here are some of Upclick's most commonly used alerts and notifications:
  • Transaction notification
    Upclick can send you all the details for different type of transactions such as sales, refunds, chargebacks, or customer profile changes, through API integration, http post, email, tracking pixel, or custom reports.
  • License key alerts
    Upclick will send you an email when we are running low on license keys for any of your active products. By default Upclick notifies exactly at the following levels of available license key: 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, and 20.
  • Affiliate signups and requests
    Upclick will notify you when an affiliate signs up and requests to promote one of your Affiliate Offers.
  • Uncompleted payment profile
    If the payment information in your account is not completed, Upclick will send you an email prior to approving the payment.
  • Custom monitors
    UpClick team can configure various real-time custom monitors on all the metrics available for checkout or customer service, such as: sale deviation rate, refund rate, chargeback rate, etc.
  • Automated reports
    Upclick can schedule the custom reports you may want to receive on a regularly basis or when a certain condition is reached, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
