It could have been that many of us were flying high from the VIP event that occurred the day before. It could have been that we were excited to visit the charming city that is Tel Aviv. Or perhaps it was our common excitement to meet other enthusiasts (aficionados?) from the e-commerce industry.

Whatever the reason, we were floating on cloud nine in the promised land.

Upclick, along with YTZ, Air Installer, Avanquest and softcity, were proud to sponsor the second annual Tel Aviv Software Meetup. The event, which took place on June 18th at the Caliph, proved to be an outstanding gathering of beautiful people from the software and e-commerce industries. The crowd consisted of people from all over the world, as well as many locals who share a passion for e-commerce.

Indeed, with more than 5000 startups overall, Tel Aviv has been described as one of the most innovative cities in the world, and ranked second to Silicon Valley as a leading tech epicenter/mecca.

Starting at 7:30 pm, we could see an eclectic clique of elegant ladies and gentlemen entering the venue and making their way to the lounge on the 3rd floor. The open bar was overflowing with a mojito punch, a full menu of wine and liquor, and the open kitchen was serving meats and hors-d’oeuvres cooked on spot.

The DJ was playing the latest hits and the dance floor filled up fast under the strobe lights. Needless to say, the atmosphere was electric and the event was a success. Of our 400 guests, we estimate that everyone showed up and maybe even more people attended the event.

Once our guests were satiated and no longer thirsty, they enjoyed a delightful Jaffa sunset on the Caliph patio overlooking the city. The rest of the evening was mostly spent networking and partying with new and old friends alike, navigating between the lounge and the outdoor patio.

The after party, which was sponsored by Revizer and Sterkly, lasted until the morning hours.

To conclude, the Tel Aviv Software Meetup exceeded all expectations, and we look forward to our third Tel-Aviv Meetup that will take place next year, around the same time. Mark your calendars because we look forward to seeing you there again!
