Business Development / Account Manager

Company Overview

SolidTechies is a rapidly-growing Canadian premium technical support provider with offices in Canada. We are looking for a seasoned Business Development and Account Manager with substantial knowledge of the B2B sales process within the digital goods industry (consumer software), personal computer, and other technology-related fields (IOT).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Manage the Sales Cycle from initial sales lead to solution presentation and proposal
  • Maintain and expand existing accounts
  • Develop new markets and verticals. Potential markets to cover include North America and Europe.
  • Solicit prospective clients by phone, email or in-person (Cold Lead Development)
  • Represent Solid Techies at conferences and trade shows throughout North America and Europe
  • Follow up on leads generated by marketing campaigns (Warm Lead Development)
  • Collaborate with the Compliance and Development Teams to smoothly on-board new customers
  • Track sales activities on the CRM and generate reports for the upper management team

Skill-set and Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in B2B sales with consistent target attainment, preferably in the e-commerce industry, personal computer industry or other technology fields
  • Proficiency in English essential (ability to communicate in French is an asset)
  • Self-starter personality with the ability to stay productive autonomously
  • Internet-savvy, with a genuine interest for and a good understanding of computer software and new technologies
  • Resourceful and creative: ability to come up with new ideas, to solve or avoid problems
  • Possess a bachelor degree in a related field, a significant asset
  • Experience in the call center industry an asset
  • Experience in online and on-site product demonstrations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other departments
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and professional appearance and demeanour
  • Availability for international travel when required.
